Oil Water Interface Meter
The Model 122 Interface Probe from Solinst is only 5/8"(16mm) in diameter. It works for 1" wells. It accurately measures the depth and thickness of non-aqueous product layers (DNAPL & LNAPL) in monitoring wells and tanks. This meter determines the thickness of oil or gas floating on the water. It can also detect the interface of Sinking Product below the water. P2 probe is for thick or sludgy product. For easy, reliable and accurate interface measurement, the Solinst model 122 is the meter to get. Available for purchase or rent.
- Infrared refraction is used to detect liquids and conductivity to distinguish water from product.
- Designed for rugged field use, with free standing reel and carrying case.
- Factory sealed 5/8" (16mm) pressure proof probe.
- Clear signals and high accuracy.
- Diameter: 7/8"
122 P1 & 122M probes are interchangeable when necessary.

Quick Tips: Most Interface Probes use an Infrared Light and Sensor combination to detect the presence of liquid and Metal pins to determine the conductivity of the liquid. Conductive means water and non-conductive is product (oil). If the prism gets scratched or a haze develops the probe may not read properly. For checking absolute well depth, do not let the probe free fall to the bottom. This will cause scratches as the prism hits the debris at the bottom. It is also good to use the tape guide to prevent nicks in the tape lining. As a Solinst authorized repair center we can usually get your Interface Probe back up and running quickly.
