RAE Systems UltraRAE 3000 is on the cutting edge of the Compound-Specific monitoring market. Using the proven range, accuracy and reliability of Photoionization Detection (PID) it reads from 0.05 to 10,000 ppm in the basic VOC mode. The benzene-specific mode is where the UltraRAE is at its best with a range 50 ppb to 200 ppm of just benzene. If you had 0.09 ppm benzene and 16 ppm Jet Fuel TS, it would read 0.09 in benzene-specific mode and 16.1 ppm in VOC mode, allowing you to plan accordingly. A standard PID would read 16.1 ppm and you would have to assume that all of it is potentially benzene. Ideally suited for refinery maintenance entry pre-screening and maintenance as well as HazMat response, and down stream monitoring of refineries.
